Welcome to March! A month full of weather ups and downs, winter and spring, snow and rain, but also full of hope and sunshine, chirping birds and spring flowers!
Join us to celebrate the hopeful onset of SPRINGTIME with a fun evening at HATCH! Rosy Hawbaker is our featured artist and her artist reception is Friday, March 8th from 6-9pm. There will be adult beverages served and good times, too:)
The March featured artist is Madison designer and screen printer, Rosy Hawbaker of RosyMade Designs. Rosy has a passion for reusing and refreshing thrift store t-shirts and other items with quirky and fun screen printed designs… creating a “new” item.

EcoSquared Art Show & February Happenings
We are already into our final few weeks of the EcoSquared Art Show here at Hatch… Our opening reception January 11th was a roaring success with a gallery full of creative and energetic people! Lindsay Christians gave the show quite a boost with her wonderful article in the Arts section of the 77 Square newspaper. Next up is the closing reception this Friday, February 8th from 6-9pm. Stop on by to see what it’s all about! Remember that all art pieces are available for purchase but we do appreciate pick-up near the end of the show. The artists will be available to talk with and we’ll have refreshments on hand. Please join us! Click here for the Facebook Event Page, click on join…then feel free to invite your friends.
Another “happening” this month is the Madison Magazine “Best of 2013” ballots are out. Hatch has been nominated for the best “Art Gallery” category. But we ALSO think we would work well under the “Gift Shop/Specialty Store” category! Write us in next to ‘other’ for that one. Hatch and it’s artists would really appreciate your vote! We’ve worked really hard these past 2 years;) VOTE HERE …The results are announced in the July issue.

December Happenings
During the month of December, Hatch Art House will be celebrating their 2nd anniversary by showcasing all 40 Hatch artists with gift giving art for $40 or less. As always, Hatch only represents Wisconsin based artists with the majority from the Madison area. Hatch also has an emphasis on upcycled and recycled material both in artwork and in the shop itself. The artist reception will be Friday, December 14th from 6-9pm. Many local artists will be in attendance to talk about their work. We’ll have sweet treats and festive drinks on hand. This holiday season, remember to shop small businesses and stay local. Hatch features ONLY Wisconsin artists, 95% of which are from the Madison area.
