The August featured artist, Lauren Ann Paul is a textile and surface designer. This month she will be showcasing her latest art works in modern rug hooking.
“Lauren enjoys playing with color, pattern and texture across many mediums. Her training as a textile and surface designer has her putting her original art onto everyday items. Fabric storage bins, head bands and tea towels are just a few of her current muses.”
Laurens artwork will be showcased at Hatch August 1st-31st with an artist reception Friday, August 11th 6-9pm. Refreshments will be served.

The featured Hatch Art House April artist is Madison weaver and jewelry designer Melissa Jenkins. Melissa’s aesthetic leans toward modern and geometric which shows in both her wall weavings and her wearable weavings and necklaces. The Hatch Art House March featured artist is Sarah Hemm. Her work will be showcased all month long with an opening reception Friday, March 9th from 6-9pm. Refreshments will be served.
Sarah Hemm is a contemporary fiber/textile artist and maker of unique, handmade goods for your home. She is interested in the DIY, subversive craft movement and strives to be a unique contributor to the handmade community. She has been an artist her entire life, and has exhibited her work for over ten years. Currently Sarah is working on a series of 366 embroideries, one finished for each day of 2012. Hatch is showcasing her embroideries.
