December Happenings

During the month of December, Hatch Art House will be celebrating their 2nd anniversary by showcasing all 40 Hatch artists with gift giving art for $40 or less. As always, Hatch only represents Wisconsin based artists with the majority from the Madison area. Hatch also has an emphasis on upcycled and recycled material both in artwork and in the shop itself. The artist reception will be Friday, December 14th from 6-9pm. Many local artists will be in attendance to talk about their work. We’ll have sweet treats and festive drinks on hand.
This holiday season, remember to shop small businesses and stay local. Hatch features ONLY Wisconsin artists, 95% of which are from the Madison area. When you buy from Hatch you know you are buying local.

Also,

Hatch is one of the 3 galleries involved in the spring Habitat for Humanity Restore Salvage Art Show… they are having their Call for Artists until January 7th. Feel free to ask me (Tammy) questions or contact the Restore. We’d love to have your work in the Salvage Art Show! http://www.restoredane.org/art-show-201/

Orange.

A cross between red and yellow, orange seems to be a color associated with fall. The turning of the leaves, pumpkins, or in my case…orange construction cones. With the street construction days from completion, we have a lot to look forward to here at Hatch. October is filled to the brim with good stuff… MMOCA’s Gallery Night, Habitat for Humanity ReStore Salvage Art Show, and perhaps the biggest event of all, THE END OF WILLY STREET CONSTRUCTION! So please stop by and visit us! Remember, we do have a parking lot behind the building off of Baldwin Street.
