June Featured Artist: Erin Bowe

The June featured artist is Madison jewelry designer and metalsmith, Erin Bowe. Erin will be highlighting her new “Men’s Line” just in time for Father’s day. Money clips, tie clips, cuff links, keychains, rings and even ‘manly earrings’ are included in this new line. We will, of course, have her women’s jewelry line available as always. Erin is using a new technique for the money clips; “roller printing” is the process of embossing metal using a rolling mill and a die of some sort, like paper. Annealed (softened) metal is run through the rolling mill with the die to imprint the design on the metal.
The artist reception will be Friday, June 12th from 6-9pm with the show running for the month of June.

April Featured Artist; Rebekah Simensen

The April featured artist is Madison painter and illustrator, Rebekah Simensen, aka “Ninjagrl”. Rebekah tells the story of Ninjagrl and her pet turtle through her paintings. Ninjagrl is based on the real-life story of Rebekah and her cat named Turtle. Turtle proved to be a loyal companion and unending source of inspiration, in addition, her time spent as a volunteer at the Seattle Aquarium opened her eyes to the wonders of the ocean world. She hopes to emulate the aquarium’s mission in her own, small way – to inspire conservation of our marine environment by providing glimpses of the amazing creatures that live there in her unique ninja style.
Rebekah’s artist reception will be held Friday, April 10th from 6-9pm. The show will run for the month of April.
