September Featured Artist: Katie Gamb

The featured September artist for Hatch Art House is illustrator, Katie Gamb. Katie says, “I’m inspired by all sorts of things- fairy tales, natural history, surrealism, the outdoors, books, discomfort, that feeling you get when you’re trying to remember something important, juxtapositions, over-thinking things, and lengthy explanations.” Her work transcends you into her magical world.
Katie will have her work showcased at Hatch Art House from September 1-30 with an artist reception on Friday, September 11th from 6-9pm. Refreshments will be served. Check out the Facebook event page here.

August Featured Artist; Lynn Lee

The featured artist for August is Madison painter, Lynn Lee. Lynn paints in a modern impressionistic style and will be focusing on a series of Willy Street neighborhood homes along with his stunning figurative work for his latest paintings.
Lynn will have his work showcased at Hatch Art House from August 1-31 with an artist reception Friday, August 14th from 6-9pm. Refreshments will be served.

July Art Show: Polka! Press Printmaking Collective

For the month of July, Hatch Art House is featuring the artists of Polka! Press, a local printmaking collective currently comprised of thirteen artists.

Their shared studio space is equipped with screen-printing and letterpress equipment, and members’ art making practices include bookmaking, textile design, and other print methods. The cooperative was founded in 2011 with the goal of promoting a vibrant local printmaking culture by offering access to printmaking facilities, and providing educational opportunities to the Madison community.

The show will run for the month of July with an artist reception Friday, July 10th from 6-9pm. Refreshments will be served.
