EcoSquared Art Show 2023

Join Hatch Art House this July and August for the 2023 EcoSquared Art Show! Hatch showcases a curated selection of various artworks by over 75 Wisconsin artists most of the year, but opens the front two walls of the gallery to all Wisconsin based artists for the EcoSquared show nearly every year since 2012. EcoSquared (Eco for eco-friendly, Squared for square art) focuses entirely on square works of art made with upcycled materials by local artists. This year marks the biggest EcoSquared exhibition yet, with nearly 90 pieces of square upcycled art by over 25 Wisconsin based artists!

Hatch Art House will be hosting an Artist Reception to celebrate the opening of the 2023 EcoSquared Art Show on Friday July 7th from 6pm-9pm.

Artists At Work – Employee Art Show

This May and June, join Hatch Art House for a special kind of art show – Artists at Work.

Hatch Art House, located on Willy Street in Madison, is an art gallery that showcases the work of over 75 artists based all across Wisconsin. When you buy something from Hatch, you know it’s being produced locally. 

And for this show, Hatch will be featuring the work of artists who are not just local, but who also make up the Hatch Art House team of employees.  

Hatch’s artist employees practice a wide variety of art styles, and “Artists Working” will consist of a selection of works from each Hatch employee, including paintings, illustrations, fiber art, mixed media, and more! Hatch’s Employee Art Show will showcase the work of Tammy Schreiter, Erin Kessler, Elissa Blaeser, Liz Jones, and Anna Koehne.

Join the Hatch team for an Artists’ Night reception held at Hatch Art House on Friday, June 2nd from 5-9pm. 

The show will run from May 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023 and will be open for viewing (and purchasing) during shop hours: Monday through Friday 11:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 11am-5pm, and Sunday 11am-4pm. Hatch is located at 1248 Williamson Street.

Call For Artists – EcoSquared Art Show Summer 2023

EcoSquared Art Show | Hatch Art House 

July & August 2023 

EcoSquared is a juried exhibition of small square works incorporating upcycled materials by local Wisconsin artists.

You are invited to submit your small works to this multi-media art show. Enter to have your work shown and for sale at Hatch Art House. The show will take place in a portion of the gallery. 

July 1st – August 31st, with an opening reception Friday, July 7th, 6-9pm.

ENTRY GUIDELINES

ELIGIBILITY: Open to anyone 18 or older residing in Wisconsin, emerging and established artists alike. The exhibition is geared towards Hatch’s emphasis on using upcycled materials and will feature only square works of art.

ENTRY FEE: There is no entry fee.

GUIDELINES FOR ENTRY

  1. Wall pieces only. They can protrude from the wall but it must be easily hangable.
  2. Must be square and no smaller than 4”x 4” and no larger than 12”x12”. Smaller or larger will not be accepted.
  3. Work must be completed within the last year.
  4. Work must incorporate upcycled material(s).
  5. Maximum entries allowed are 5 pieces.
  6. Must be ready to hang with wire or a sawtooth hanger. No exceptions!

PRICING ARTWORK : Artwork should be priced between $25-$200 in $5 increments.

EXHIBITION INFORMATION

There is a 50% gallery commission for work sold. Hatch reserves the right to reproduce images for promotional and publication purposes if necessary. By submitting work to the exhibit you agree to all terms and conditions set forth in the entry form.

SUBMISSION FORMAT

All entries will be juried via images submitted through the submission form.

Images MUST be jpeg format and high quality, up to 10MB each. Name each image file with your name and image number from your entry form image list.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRY: June 21st, 2023

DROPOFF DEADLINE: Thursday, June 29th, 2023

NOTIFICATION OF SELECTED WORKS

Artists will be notified of selected works via email by June 22nd, 2023. 

DELIVERY OF SELECTED ARTWORK

Work should be hand-delivered or shipped between June 12th and June 29th, 2023 to Hatch Art House. Artists are responsible for any and all shipping costs.
